Mims
Mims is an unincorporated town in north Brevard County, about 5 miles north of Titusville.
The first settlers arrived in late 1860, and the city of Mims was formed in 1883. The city lost its charter after the 1929 stock market crash forced winter residents to abandon homes and businesses.
Mims has about a 25.7 square mile area surrounded by 100,000 acres of citrus groves. It has the Indian River to its east, and the St. John's river to the west.
At the 2000 Census, Mims had a population of 9,167 with a median household income of 35,126. Popular activities are fishing and boating.
