Barefoot Bay

Barefoot Bay was established in 1969. It is primarily a retirement community with 8,348 residents counted in the 2000 census.

Located at the southern tip of Brevard County, the 1500 acres of Barefoot Bay rest alongside the Indian River.

Besides the excellent fishing afforded by Indian River, there are many other recreational opportunities. There is a lovely community center with dances, horseshoed, water aerobics and year round social activities.

For outdoor fun, they have three heated pools, and an 18 hole par 60 golf course.
